I was in Winston Salem at a nearby hospital while my elderly mother was having surgery. The surgery went well and a good friend of my mom's drove her back to our property in Virginia. They were driving my mom’s paid for 2021 TRD Off Road Toyota 4Runner. I had traded vehicles with my daughter. She owns a BMW e90 328i and I have quite a few restored cars plus a BMW e60 550i. So, browsing an automobile recycling center can pay off well for me. For example I found a piece of dashboard trim for my 1995 Impala SS last Monday locally here in Raleigh. I go to LKQ because that’s my only option. Pull-a-Part in Winston Salem is twice the size, organized and clean. You can even rent a golf car. The prices here were much more reasonable than I’m used to. It’s $2 to enter the yard and LKQ charges $3. I’m on a fixed income so these dollars matter. The staff I dealt with were gregarious unlike what I’m used to dealing with. Vicky and Veronica gave me a hard time for being “that guy” that security had to kick out at closing time. I just lost track of time looking at the retired Crown Vic Interceptors. I’ll definitely take a little side trip here on my next visit to my property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The staff are extremely helpful and use a computer system with well organized auto location. They give you an extensive list of cars you can search. They rent go carts and tools if needed. The parts you need are cheap. This is the place for auto parts.

These guys are incredibly rude for no reason. We called to ask if they could sell us just the bolts for a lower control arm. They said they could only sell us the entire part. We agreed to that. We drove up there and there were NO bolts on the part. They only told us that they couldn't sell the bolts separately not that there were no bolts on the part. We very politely told them that we didn't want it then. The guy laughed at us and said "we ain't a hardware store" and kept rolling his eyes. There is absolutely no reason to be nasty to people over a misunderstanding. I wouldn't expect such snotty, condescending behavior from men who work at a junk yard. Edit: My husband was the person who called and he had the phone on speaker. We both heard what you said. That isn't the point. We aren't giving you a bad review because of a misunderstanding. These things happen. You are receiving a poor review because it is egregious to laugh and make fun of people over a miscommunication. This is behavior I wouldn't tolerate from my toddler. I certainly would expect better behavior from grown men.
Worst customer service. They say they will call you back and never will. I used to but all my parts there a couple of years ago and Bob would go out of his way to help. The place has really gone down hill.

Had car reserved to drive (4) hours. However, wasn't going to leave untill I talk to someone and be sure I was getting my part. As stated in previous complaints its true, they could careless. Talk to ty once a week ago. I've been calling ever since. Want to thank the previous reviews and warnings to stay away. Glad I didn't assume and drive (4) hours for nothing. If there that miserable they should get out of the business.
I called one other salvage dealer. They weren't particularly friendly or helpful, told me I could bring my tire by and they would see what they could find. Instead I called King to check with them, they confirmed they had the exact tire I wanted, and price was very reasonable. The first one they brought out did have a mild bend on the rim, so they checked again and found another one that was perfect. They were very patient and helpful.

Well I bought a part for a real good deal a few months ago for a good deal. Face to face. Then I needed another part. Called and that person said yes we have it and gave me a good price. That person said they was gonna have someone get it ready and make sure it was the exact right part. They would call me back. Later someone else called from a different number and said sir we have it come on and get it. I said ok. He then said by they way. It's not gonna be the price you was told. His price was 5 times more than that. That's wrong. I dunno what's up with that. But once you quote someone you should go or what you said. Instead of trying to up the price so high I can buy it brand new for that price and with a warranty. I have bought everything I needed there. I will never ever again. Almost all the parts I've ever needed was from here. But I'll never again return. Only to speak with the owner. You word is your bond. I was given one price 2 times. Then a different person totally jacked up the price. And this is a part that you won't know if it's good till it's on and running. So if I'd of paid that high price and it was bad...then what...

I needed a power window master control switch and searched the internet for hours and wasn't able to find a match for the part I needed. I call Schronce and talk to Bill who order the part and it was there the next day and far cheap than the price I had seen on the internet. Thanks Bill and all the other employee at Schronce used parts I know where to shop from now on.

Ordered a head for 2009 Cobalt. Was assured it had been tested and was ready to go. It came in and was sent to the head shop. He stated it was completely worn out and could not be repaired. Called Matlock's and scheduled the return. Driver shows up and refuses to take it due to it not being completely assembled. Why would you reassemble something that was broken beyond repair? Sent it back to the head guy to assemble. $200 is what we spent on the head that was "in great working order and passed all the tests" just to find out it was worthless. Matlock's wouldn't give a credit or offer anything for our expense and time. The customer service there is TERRIBLE. All you can expect is lies and passing the buck.
