My engine seized suddenly in the parking lot of Whole Foods on 86th St. on Christmas Eve. We were planning to replace that car within the next few months so I made the decision to just junk it. I contacted T.J.’s and advised them of my situation. Not only were they willing to pick it up that night (again, Christmas Eve), they would pick it up where it was, and they were willing to work with me on the pickup time as I had to get a ride back to Fishers to get the title. My vehicle's transmission failed aways from home. It was not worth fixing. Cash for Cars offered my 5 times what the local wrecking yard was going to pay me for my vehicle. I was not able to meet them to give them the title and keys, but I was able to leave these with the mechanic shop my van was parked at so the wrecker could get them when he picked up the van. They sent me the check that day via FedEx so I had it the next morning. I would use them again.
You picked up my son's car from us after his engine quit. Later that day (yesterday), he discovered there was a recall on the engines of that car, Hyundai Sonata. By then we were told it was too late and there was nothing you could do. I think you all should be aware of such things (recalls), and notify the customer prior to taking the car. It's just the respectable thing to do. It would have been a great help to a struggling young man.
