Best Junkyards in Idaho

My son and a schoolmate were building a forge for their independent project for school and we needed metal grates and small pieces of metal, so we came Garwood Wrecking, were the staff were friendly and let the boys wonder the yard looking for items to use. Not only did we find the items the company so graciously donated the items to the school Wire2Learn academy. This not only blessed the boys but the school as well. Truly grateful.

Drove from Oregon but called ahead to verify they had a part I needed. They confirmed and gave me a price. I arrived at 3:18pm a good 2 hours prior to them closing and when I got there the guy told me he wouldnt be able to get the part for me until the next day because the parts puller was to busy. I explained i was from out of town and was going back and he still wouldnt help. I spent $60 in fuel and left empty-handed

Parts are super expensive, they handle to you dirty and their customer service is garbage, i would rather go inter-mountain auto parts that they don't charge a pulling fee on top of the part and the parts are actually WAY CHEAPER ! with a professional customer service willing to help you out or at least workout a price with you.. These salvage yards pay dime for those wreck cars and they sell you the part the same it will cost new on EBAY or the dealer itself ! ridiculous

Not a bad place to visit if you know the part you are looking for. I had tonfic my door handel on my old ford. I eas able to get it way cheaper than buying it on line a d I know the fit was correct because I took it off the same year of vehicle.

I had an amazing experience despite being unable to find what I needed. The service was absolutely fantastic thanks to the young man at the front desk who not only took me back to look at parts but took a look at our van as well, unfortunately I forgot to ask a name so I hope he reads this and it makes his day like he made mine. 100% would come here again.
