Maybe 3 Stars on a good day. This place is a junkyard and not an auto recycling location. Everything in the place is poorly marked as to the vehicles location. When I pointed out to Keith that a few cars weren’t even on the lot, he started arguing. He pulled up cars on his computer that were NOT on the lot proving himself wrong. The prices are okay until they add a warranty and hazardous materials fees without telling you first. Then core charges on parts like a 4wd skid plate. They have core charges on nearly everything. Core charges are meant to be charged to the customer when they are buying something that will be remanufactured. LKQ doesn’t remanufacture anything. Just be upfront and honest about the prices. Raise the prices if need be. Tacking on fees is shady. I don’t need to pay a 90 day warranty charge on a piece of interior trim. Clean up the lot daily and close the vehicles’ doors. That helps with trip hazards. It keeps a lot of water out of the cars too. The Durham location is managed much better.

Now this is what an automobile recycle salvage yard should look like. I’m driving the extra 30 miles to Durham to avoid the Clayton Raleigh LKQ Pick a Part. The spaces on every car are well marked. The yard is pretty dang clean. The staff are all friendly. They even ask which parts you’d like to buy a 90 day warranty on before just slapping the fee on there. Damon helped me at the checkout a few times. He’s a very gregarious young man. He knows a good bit about cars too. It’s refreshing to deal with folks that don’t hate their jobs. I’ll be back for a few items next week. Thanks y’all!
Very good customer service! They got back to me immediately and gave me the best offer in town. I needed someone to buy my car last minute after it became non drivable and they gave me a offer + free towing. Highly recommend!
Spoke to a gentleman regarding a question I had for a part that we had returned. He stated he “didn’t control that” and slammed the phone down to hangup on me. Blatant disrespect from this company. Will never use or recommend them to anyone.
Personally this place has gotten so much better , new owners are the real deal. Very helpful and very fair with their pricing. Drinks are available for purchase on those hot sunny days , yard is organized and well kept . Don’t go anywhere else , this place is the the only pick and pull I’ll be heading to !
The service was awesome. I got my old car hauled away in less than an hour. It was quick and easy and the gentlemen who helped were amazing. 1000% recommend! Thank you!
After arriving at the office, I asked price of part I needed and rep. said the more you find, the cheaper it will be. I also asked location of model I was looking for and rep. said "go to the big tree and take a left" I go there and turn left and couldn't find the section. I had to call office a few times to find the section. Rows aren't marked with numbers making it very difficult to find cars. I found car and the part I needed was laying loose inside the car and took it to the office and asked how much and rep. said $25, and I said I didn't want it (because it was too much) and rep. asked "how much did you expect to pay?" I said I purchased the other side panel at another yard for $8, and then rep. rudely told me "go put it back in the car"!!!! During the many years I've pulled parts from salvage yards, I've never been told to put a part back. I wasn't about to walk back the long distance to put it back so I set it outside and left. Prices 2 to 3 times higher than other salvage yards!!!!
Because of this review they are refusing to warranty my transmission. I called to see if they were going to honor my warrantee and they told me flat out that if i didn't take down my review they would not give me my replacement under warrantee unless i pulled my review and BBB complaint. i guess their 30 day warrantee isn't any good. Update. Transmission is junk. Only reverse, no forward gears. Bought a supposedly tested transmission for an f150 from them. Bottom of the pan is smashed in and there was no filter inside when I went to install a new one. Highly doubt they "tested" it.
Great place to get lost in thought looking for auto and other parts. They do their best to keep the mud down and offer wheel barrels to haul your tools and parts you get. It saves you money by pulling your own part and you can get all your cussing and kinks worked out there so you are calm and look professional installing your new part on your vehicle in front of the wife haha. Love this place. Highly recommend. Jerry
I shopped my 2015 ford d150 rear end nation wide for days and I found it almost in my backyard and these guys shipped it that day and were the best price in the country!
